1.  Tea Set – perhaps your teacher loves tea. Find some antique tea cups (sometimes you can find great bargains on items like this at thrift shops) or trendy mugs (try Target) and fill them with her favorite flavored tea.

2. Magazine subscription – great for the hard-to-buy for teacher that has a hobby or loves to read.  Great for men teachers too!


3. Kitchen Gift Bag – does your teacher love to cook or bake? Round up some inexpensive kitchen gadgets and make a cute gift basket. Try the dollar stores or the sales at local kitchen stores.  Add in a decorative package of cookie mix that is commonly found this time of year & you have a nice gift.

4. Gift Bag for Movie Lovers – does your teacher love movies? How about a Blockbuster or Netflix gift certificate for rentals. Or pick a nearby theatre such as Cinemark or AMC and give your teacher a movie theater gift certificate. Make it a cute package by adding in a few bags of microwave popcorn and candy bars.

7. Teacher Treats – support your local school fundraiser by buying those flavored popcorn in tins – make great gifts! Or if your teacher has a sweet tooth, indulge her with some chocolates or even homemade jellies or cookies. Wrap them in an attractive, festive package and they’re a hit!


8. Stationary – Hallmark and other gift stores always have a great selection of note cards & stationary.  Or if you’re crafty, try making a variety of handmade cards. Everyone appreciates having a few cards on hand in those emergency situations – thank you notes, birthday cards, condolences etc.

9. School supplies – if all else fails, teachers can always use school supplies. We all know they end up spending a lot out of their own pocket so why not help however you can.  Try buying books or reward items such as stickers, erasers etc. Oriental Trading company is a great place to start!
