Location Address: The parade starts promptly at 9:00 am at the corner of Church Rd and Green Oaks Dr. It follows westward on Church Rd to the Lake Highlands North Recreation Center.
Description: Every summer on July 4th, the Exchange Club salutes the community by sponsoring a very patriotic parade which ends in a carnival. Children decorate bikes and trikes, families line the streets, businesses boast floats with banners and the whole shebang is lead by our City Councilman and the neighborhood firefighters. The carnival fills the recreation center parking lot and offers food, fun, and music to the community. Parade starts at 9:00 Carnival starts immediately following the parade. Carnival ends at 12pm.

Description: This year's 20-minute fireworks show is being altered to provide better visibility to allow people to maintain social distancing in accordance with the Governor’s orders. The fireworks can be seen from up to four miles away from the McKinney Soccer Complex at Craig Ranch. The city encourages the watching of the fireworks show from your home or car and tuning in to 101.1 WRR FM to hear choreographed music with the fireworks! There will be no on-site parking for the show. Cars will not be allowed to pull over on main roads. Please respect private property. Parking on residential streets is discouraged. Description: This year with the limits to gatherings and the need for social distancing, McKinney Main Street is adjusting the Fourth of July parade to be a drive-thru parade. Floats will be stationary, set up in designated spots throughout the historic downtown McKinney, and guests can drive by and enjoy the floats from the safety of their cars. The drive-thru parade lasts from 9-11 a.m. in historic downtown McKinney. We’re looking for patriotic themed and decorated floats, cars, antique tractors and bands. Prizes are awarded to the top entries: Grand Prize, Second Place, Third Place, and Best Classic Car. Guests are asked to stay in their cars and not walk around between the parade entries.
