Based on the Disney film and J.M. Barrie’s enchanting play, Disney’s Peter Pan JR. is a modern version of the timeless tale about a boy who wouldn’t grow up. The score includes new arrangements of classic Disney songs, such as “Following the Leader,” “You Can Fly,” “The Second Star to the Right” and “Yo Ho, A Pirate’s Life for Me.”
It is Paris, May of 1794, the bloody peak of the French Revolution, and the beautiful French actress, Marguerite St. Just, marries an Englishman, Sir Percival Blakeney. Chauvelin, her former sweetheart and a high-ranking revolutionary official, is furious. Before she leaves for England he blackmails her into giving him secret information that sends many to their death via guillotine.
When Percy learns his bride was responsible for these deaths and is a possible spy, he puts up an emotional wall against her. He then gathers his close friends together to become The League of the Scarlet Pimpernel and work through disguise and diversion to save the lives of as many innocents as they can.
THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL is a powerful and passionate story of love and heroism against a background of revolution.
